Zed & Co are a contemporary sofa bed furniture company specialising in sofa beds in North Cornwall. We design and manufacture carefully crafted sofa beds with the inspiration taken from Alan Zoeftig’s award winning ‘Style 63’ design from the 60’s.

After studying at Camberwell and Central, St Martin’s School of art, Alan Zoeftig has designed and manufactured contemporary furniture for 45 years. In the process he’s won a number of International awards, most notably the Cantu Triennale in Italy in 1963.

In 1969 he started Zoeftig & Company with engineer Mick Carter. After his retirement and the sale of Zoeftig & Company, Zed & Co was formed in 2008 with his daughter Sara. This latest range of bed / sofas is the distillation of all these years of experience.

The range is produced from first class materials and worked to exact machined tolerances. These products demonstrate that attention to detail manages to overcome the problems usually associated with sofabeds and their conversion.

Zed & Co produce their convertible sofa range to the highest specification, maintaining Alan Zoeftig's integrity as a renowned designer / manufacturer. From his unflawed track record in the furniture design and production industry, among the minority where many have taken production out of the UK, Zed and Co strives to employ local people in a county where employment opportunities are limited, where production processes are not locally available production goes further afield but still within the UK.
